Default Handicap based on % of high current average

The bowlers on the league voted to change the handicap for the league from 95% of 210 to 95% of the highest current average of the regular team members (i.e. don't include subs to determine the highest current average). Based on the past few seasons the highest average will be somewhere between 215 - 225.

Is there a way to specify this in BLS-2008?

Default Re: Handicap based on % of high current average

No. I've bowled one league that did variable base and it was a major pain. The league changed it to set the base at 230 which covered everyone. Once the "whiners" got over the fact that the handicap numbers, while larger, scaled for everyone, everything was fine.

You have to realize too that handicap awards really have no point of reference on a variable base. This was another reason of abandoning variable base.
