Just between secretaries or centers that send in the awards for their league(s) have notice if you have given more awards this year compare to last year at the same number weeks in. In my league we have about same average this year as we did last year, but I submitted ten awards less this year(45) then last year(55) at the same time. The reason why I'm asking if it is just my league that is at the wrong average(162) to earn more awards.

Thanks

Dean

It's not something I've paid much attention to. There are too many variables present, and those may include lane conditions, bowler initiative, equipment, and so on. But with the rules my league has, I spend enough time making sure I'm in compliance there to do a study on awards.

Many of my league members bowl in another league and may receive an award in another league. I won't know this until I get a form back marked "already earned" from the association. There's a factor there as well.

I don't have hard numbers because I didn't keep records like that last year. This year, my sport awards definitely seem up, but that could be simply that they know they have to mark "clean game" on their recaps because I'm not psychic. As for awards in other leagues, they seemed way down. We're still waiting on some newly created local awards, but there are far fewer to award. And as for the national awards, it does seem they went with fewer awards than the previously unmerged awards provided--at least to the women and kids. The ABC awards were always pretty sparse.
